Measure twice, drill once
Use fine tip marker to make precise location of hole to be drilled -- DO NOT USE DRY ERASE MARKERS
Use a center punch to make a precise indent in metal to guide the drill
Use Vertical drill press when vertical alignment is critical such as drilling through 2 sides of an extrusion bar
Use gussets or patterned extrusion bars that already have precisely placed holes as a template to drill new holes
