2025 Region I-6A Academic Meet - Verifications/Posting of Results

GRADING/VERIFICATION / POSTING OF RESULTS

Grading of academic events will occur in the testing room at the completion of the test.
Once grading has been completed, the Contest Manager and Assistant will bring the results to Tab to be entered in the online system and then return to the testing room for verification. Coaches and students are encouraged to wait for them to return to do verification.
Verification will last 15 minutes. If there are no changes at the end of the 15 minutes, the Contest Manager and Assistant will return the results to Tab for final entry.
Changes may require an extension of the the verification period.
Results will be posted in the UIL online system and announced in the cafeteria as soon as possible after verification.
Awards will be placed in school bags that aren't picked up during the award announcement.
First, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth-place medals will be awarded in all individual events. Medals will also be awarded to the first, second and third place team members in team events. The winning team’s school will also receive a plaque in each of the team/group events.
The school with the highest total points for all academic events will be named the REGIONAL ACADEMIC CHAMPION and will be awarded a regional academic champion trophy.

MATERIALS

Each entered school will have a bag at the Regional site with materials to be picked up at the end of the competition beginning at 3:00pm on Saturday, April 26th, 2025. Until that time, the materials put in the bags may not be removed from the room nor pictures taken of tests or answer sheets. Only speech/debate ballots may be removed and/or shared prior to this time.

Please designate someone to pick up materials at the time listed above or after all events have been completed that day or leave a LARGE stamped and pre-addressed envelope for your results to be mailed to you IN your bag before you leave. The Regional Host will not be responsible for maintaining materials not picked up nor mailing option described above provided.
