Medication that cannot be given outside of school hours may be administered during the day

A new medication administration request form is required each school year 

Prescription medication must have a current label that is not expired; no doctor signature is required on the medication administration form as long as the prescription is current

Over the counter medications must be in their original container and not expired. A medication administration request form should be filled out, and a doctor signature is required

The clinic stocks the following medications: Tums, Tylenol, Ibuprofen (Motrin), Benadryl, and Menthol cough drops

Stock medications can be given if the student was opted in to receive these medications during the enrollment process. The nurse will contact the child's parent/guardian prior to administering any medications.
