Profiling

At the start of the course the Student participates in a profiling process to establish a baseline for the Skills and Systems. This includes a self-assessment & (unless Starter) interview.

Self-assessment

35 Multiple Choice Questions | 0 ~ 31% | Starter ~A1

32 ~ 49% | A2 ~ B1

50 ~ 69% | B1 ~ B2

70 ~ 89% | C1

90 ~ 100% | C2

A simple email and a more complex article with comprehension questions of varying levels & a range of vocabulary.

A simple personal question about routine, a more complex hypothetical one and a comparative requiring more nuanced production provide 3 samples of writing.

Both are pre-assessed on the self-assessment & finalized during the interview.

interview

Pre-established questions divided by CEFR level are tweaked for the Student's profile and asked in order to confirm listening performance from the self-assessment & assess the Student's speaking range (how much he/she knows) and accuracy (how well he/she can use the language items).

Starter Students (before A1) do not take part in the interview.
