Working around animals during Street Vet Work and pet clinic settings comes with fun, but also real risks to team members' health and safety. Even well-loved and trained pets may feel scared, overwhelmed, or protective in unfamiliar environments. Recognizing and helping to minimize animal stress, helps keep PSV team members, pet parents, and their pets safe during our outreach.
In this training, you’ll learn how to read animal body language, respond calmly to stress signals, and avoid situations that may lead to scratches, bites, or sudden reactions. You’ll also review basic first aid steps and how to report any injuries or incidents to our team.
Your awareness, patience, and safe handling practices help create a secure environment for everyone.
