Idea presentation at Government Polytechnic for Girls, Surat was organized on August 09, 2019, Friday. A total of 32 teams of Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Information Technology and Diploma in Textile Design participated in the event of idea presentation. The event of present the innovative ideas in the form of poster. The idea presentation based on innovative ideas with applications software's using advance technologies such as IoT, embedded systems, wireless technology, machine learning, robotics, artificial intelligence, wireless networking, web technology and luminous garment were key attraction of the event.
An expert panel was formed to evaluate the presentation work of the students. The panel team was formed with good mixture of experts from different academia. The expert panel and faculty members have keenly observed individual presentation and suggested improvements as and where necessary. The students had noted these suggestions for the further improvement and required modification in their respective innovative concepts. All the students visited the idea presentation event. They curiously observed various interesting innovative concepts. Students have learned how the different methodologies and techniques applied together to develop new innovative product. This will certainly help them in their upcoming days.

Key insights/ benefit/learning from the event
The Idea Presentation was so useful and helpful to the students for learning various kinds of life skills that students do not get to learn in classrooms and laboratories. The event helped them to improve their interpersonal skills like how to present poster and how to advocate for their own ideas in a research setting. Such fair helps to build confidence in the students and make them to feel pride when appreciated by the experts. Other students get inspired from the work of participants.
The exposure to constructive comments and reviews from the experts broadens the critical thinking among the students. Such comments have potential to help the students to come up with the final product with substantial improvement. The project fair can provide amazing rewards in long run as it has potential to open doors to career opportunities, improve speaking skills and increase insight about application of technical knowledge for better living.
