Innovative Solutions through ANDROID mobile app

Computer department of Government polytechnic for girls, Surat has organized a workshop for Android Application development for 4 days from 10/12/2019 to 13/12/2019: on title “Innovative Solutions through Android Mobile application” at Vivekananda Hall of Government Polytechnic For Girls, Surat under SSIP cell. This Workshop was organized for final year student of computer department in which the expert from “CORONA INFOTECH” Mr Vaibhav Surana (CEO) and Mr Amrish Kakadiya (CO-founder) was invited to conduct this android workshop .Total 100 students of semester 6th have participated thoroughly.

 Student had carried below gadgets during workshop hours: -

1. Laptop (fully charged) with at least 4 GB of RAM

2. Android mobile phone

3. Data cable to connect phone with laptop

4. These two files in your laptop's desktop folder o Android SDK and Android studio

 Session timing

Session-1:10 AM to 1 PM (All students)

Session-2: 1 PM to 5 PM (All students)

2. Introduction to Android Studio and SDK

3. Android studio and SDK installation and setup

4. Hello world app 5. Connection android device and running app

6. Understanding project structure

Day-2(11/12/2019)

Topics Covered

1. Android project structure.

2. Learn about different widgets like TextView, Button, EditText and many others.

3. Learn about layouts: LinearLayout and RelativeLayout.

4. Build complete interface using widgets and layouts.

5. Adding listeners for handling interactions with widgets.

Day-3(12/12/2019)

Topics Covered

1. Understanding user interactions and app flow.

2. Understanding Activities and intents.

3. Moving between activities.

4. Adding listeners for handling interactions with widgets.

5. Adding form validation.

6. Build a counter app..

Day-4(13/12/2019)

Topics Covered

1. Understanding Libraries & Dependencies.

2. Room DB and SQLite DB introduction and CRUD operations.

3. How to Sign APK.

4. Emerging technologies in computer science and relevant android apps.

5. Hackathon.

 Learning from Workshop

Student got motivation toward android technology. Workshop Session was very helpful for student who are going to develop project in final year and also going to study MCAD (Mobile Computing and Application Development) subject in their curriculum. Student was also able to understand the society needs and will able to develop solutions through innovative project techniques.
