On July 25, 2018 I returned to the Denville Early Head Start facility to present the Pre-K Prep Kits. I spoke to a group of parents during a Socialization and walked them through each of my kits. After speaking with the parents, I sat down with the children and let them explore the different sections. Once I was done working with the children and parents from the Socialization, I took my kits to another classroom and interacted with those children and the kits.
During my time at the center, I found that the younger children were using the Pre-K Prep Kits to learn and review the different aspects of the kits (colors, numbers, letters, shapes, basic words, fine motor skills). After watching the older children play with the kits, I found that adding a time limit made the activities more fun and affective.
