How to Read Notes on the Staff
This video will help you review/learn about reading and memorizing note names of both the treble clef and the bass clef. You can use a blank piece of staff paper (see below in the print resources section) and magnets/stickers/marbles/rocks, etc. whatever you have to place on the lines/spaces to practice identifying the notes! Have fun!
This video goes through and explains different rhythms that we might see when reading our music. Some of the rhythms might be too advanced for our younger/beginning students BUT it is always great to challenge yourself and use this video as a review for the rhythms that you do know! Once you review the rhythms, try drawing them on some paper and making your own music using the rhythms while clapping/counting.
4 Practice Tips for Beginners!
In this video, another piano teacher goes through a few different practice tips/techniques that beginning piano students can work on to grow their strength and skills at the piano. Some skills in this video might work better for the older elementary/middle school students BUT all of the information in this video is very helpful for all students.
