Abri Pataud, facial reconstruction. Élisabeth Daynès, sculptor, has used the skull to model this silicone woman. She died aged ~20, 20,600 years ago and had brown eyes and a rounded face.

Magdalenian Woman who died in her 20s, is the common name for a human skeleton, dated to the boundary between the Upper Palaeolithic and the early Mesolithic, ca. 15,000 to 13,000 years old. The bead-and-shell net cap was not found in her grave, but other graves dating to the same period do reveal such adornment of the dead. Face reconstructed from CT scans of her skull that was damaged by a pickaxe when excavated in 1909.

The most complete Upper Palaeolithic skeleton in Northern Europe. For years, she was thought to be a young girl, because her wisdom teeth had not yet advanced, but new analysis indicates that her wisdom teeth were impacted, and that she was actually 25 to 35 at death.
