Description
This Introductory Logic course will explore the art of reasoning and examining the truth of God's creation found through analyzing different kinds of statements and arguments. In learning how to better understand the points of an argument being made and the statements people make, students will learn to better navigate their way conversationally while also gaining a stronger footing in how to better work through their own ideas and thoughts. Class time will include discussions about the terms learned through weekly readings and exercises, working through different arguments and forms of arguments as a class, and bi-weekly tests that will aid in solidifying course material. We will be covering 5 separate units over the course of the 16 weeks of the term. Assignments will include completion of course reading material, completion of quizzes, completion of tests, and a year-end comprehensive exam--all of which will have the option of receiving a tutor-assigned grade.
