Timing

DIDO consisted of several phases, during which the content of the toolkit was built.

  1. Partners conduct research in every partner country related to the causes of dropout. By performing a desk research and qualitative research, partners will establish a framework of 6 major clusters of dropout. These 6 clusters are the foundation of the toolkit and its content. (finalised)

  2. In a second phase, partners will brainstorm about creative ideas and solutions for tackling dropout, together with teachers, students and external experts in the field of adult education and dropout. After the local brainstorm, partners continue this on an international level. (ongoing)

  3. Based on all the input gathered in the first and second phase, the partners started working on tools to prevent the dropout of adult learners.

  4. Next, the developed tools were tested in all partner countries from May 2019 until December 2019 to be able to measure the impact. The tools were evaluated and adapted from January 2020.

  5. Everything was then brought together in an online toolkit that can be used by practitioners in adult education. The toolkit was launched in May 2020!
