GO! CVO Antwerpen (Belgium)

GO! CVO Antwerpen is an Adult Education Center with several campuses in and around the City of Antwerp in the Flemish region of Belgium. It offers Dutch as a second language, second chance education, foreign languages and higher professional education to about 7.000 students per year.

The main campuses offer an open learning centre, providing facilities for intake and advisory, self-paced study, learning difficulties support, counselling, individual tutoring and study groups. CVO Antwerpen offers an increasing percentage of its courses as blended learning. The centre is, was and remains a leading player in the introduction of different types of distance learning using e-learning platforms, developing interactive content (learning objects), multimedia and video recording, social software, automated evaluation, mobile learning …

Since innovation is one of the key aspects within its mission, CVO Antwerpen participated and still participates in several innovating European projects under the Lifelong Learning Programme and Erasmus+, both as coordinator and as partner. Quality project management is offered by the international project office.

Axxell (Finland)

Axxell offers vocational education and training (VET) for youngsters and adults at level 3 and 4. Axxell has about 1644 students that study at the 6 different departments of Axxell that offer VET. Axxell was founded on 1st of August 2008.

Axxell is known for its good work and capable staff when it comes to developing new teaching and learning methods as well as materials that support modern approaches for guidance and councelling. Axxell aims to educate students and develop vocational education through innovation and flexible methods.

Axxell is a active participant in national and international projects. Axxell is a member in the EFVET network since 2011 and sees international cooperation as a way to develop the quality of the VET.

Curio (the Netherlands)

Curio is a leading college for secondary VET and adult education in the south of the Netherlands. It aims to be an innovative regional training centre for high quality education for all people irrespective of their age, background or social position. The education and training it offers aims to qualify people for the demands of the national and international labour market, thus enhancing their opportunities for a better position in society. In addition Curio wants to contribute to people’s personal development and to prepare people to function better in a multicultural, diverse and complex society.

Curio has extensive experience in the field of adult education in the region of West-Brabant in the Netherlands. Most of the adult learners take basic courses in either/both literacy and numeracy and empowerment and are consequently much more able to function in society both in a professional and personal way. Another part of the adult education department offers language courses to immigrants, varying from A1 to C1 levels of Dutch. A third division focuses on young adults who have dropped out of regular education for various reasons but who want to get their secondary school diploma to go on to higher vocational or university education.

Curio, adult education department, takes part in various KA2 Erasmus+ projects and through its participation in local, regional and national networks of adult education in the Netherlands it is excellently able to get feedback and disseminate the products and processes of these projects at all relevant levels.

AidLearn (Portugal)

AidLearn is a Training, Action-Research and Consulting company, which operates at national level and the European Union, dedicated to the design, implementation and evaluation of studies, projects and training activities that promote individual and / or organisational development. Stands for building up a learning organisation concerned with equality of opportunities and providing innovative services targeted to actual needs mostly of SMEs and deprived and vulnerable target groups in risk of social exclusion.

Trainers / educators play a key role, being the guarantor of the quality of education/ training in the country. AidLearn develops training of trainers (initial and ongoing) since 2005, and its Pedagogical Training Course for Trainers is approved by the IEFP.

AidLearn is a training provider organisation certified by DGERT in the following areas of education / training: Training of Trainers / Teachers and Educational Sciences; Audiovisual and media production; Business Studies; Marketing and advertising; Secretariat and office work; ICT; Manufacturing: Food industries; Social Services: Social work and guidance; Safety Services: Safety and hygiene at work; Personal Services: Tourism and leisure; and Domestic services.

HF & VUC FYN (Denmark)

HF & VUC FYN (Adult education Centre Funen) is the largest adult education centre in Denmark. We are a government-funded, self-governing institution based in 9 different cities throughout the island of Funen. We also have the largest distance learning centre in Denmark. The main objective of HF & VUC FYN is to provide classes for adults – from lower secondary level to upper secondary level. HF & VUC FYN also offers courses for adults with reading and writing problems – as well as in-company training and training for unemployed citizens.

HF & VUC FYN is a modern organization working with new teaching methods e.g. open learning, blended learning, e-learning – a range of different types of learning approaches besides the more traditional teaching methods. We offer our students flexible solutions. They are free to choose from our range of courses, our different levels and the time they spend on taking the courses. They can choose a package course or design their own education.

We have room for everyone no matter age, background, abilities, aptitudes or aim with the course. Everyone is able to learn new things and we concern ourselves with the success of our students. Our aim is clear: We want to build a bridge to a future of more education, better jobs and a higher quality of life for our students.

The Swiss Federation for Adult Learning (Switserland)

The Swiss Federation for Adult Learning (SVEB) is the umbrella organisation for general and vocational adult learning. Membership of SVEB includes private and state schools, associations, as well as regional officials in charge of adult learning. SVEB groups over 700 members. SVEB has permanent secretariats in German-, French- and Italian-speaking Switzerland.

SVEB develops innovative projects in the field of lifelong learning for various target groups (low skilled employees and adults with basic skills needs, migrants, women and elderly people). SVEB has also developed and currently runs a professional “train the trainer system” and a quality system for adult education providers (eduQua). Both systems are today vital pillars of the Swiss adult education sector.

Furthermore, SVEB promotes cooperation among adult learning institutions and creates awareness of the importance of adult learning.

SVEB is also involved in various research projects on matters relating to adult learning. The main points of emphasis are the structural and organisational development of the adult education system.
