I am a passionate Family and Consumer Science (FACS), previously know as Home Economics, teacher that is focused on building a program that is grounded in 21st Century skills. I strive to ensure that students are immersed in activities that highlight the STEM attributes embedded in the FACS curriculum. In addition to activating their hands-on STEM skills students learn practical ways to embrace habits that will fight obesity in themselves and their families. By embracing the economic and nutritional values of cooking at home students are able to see the practical ways in which math and science enhance their lives and the career options that are available to them.
