The Narva Euromax, was a rebadged Haztec Mini XP which had become a fairly popular mini lightbar in the Australian market since its introduction in 2008. Unfortunately, the Euromax has been in run-out since March 2020. The Euromax was available in four different models (Halogen, Xenon, LED and High-Output LED), four colour options (Amber, Blue, Red and Blue/Red) and two mounting options (4 Bolt and Magnetic). All models except the halogen model featured an alternating quad flash pattern, the halogen (true to its form) featured the (dual) rotating flash pattern. A diamond-shaped mirror comes standard on halogen and xenon models in the centre of the lightbar to increase output and create a wig-wag effect on certain viewing angles. All models except the high-output LED model were available as separate 12 and 24 volt units, the high-output was 12/24 dual voltage. The halogen model was powered by two one-speed fully-automatic voltage specific DC motors utilising worm drive technology to rotate two reflectors around two fixed halogen H1 bulbs. The Euromax was built with a tough polycarbonate lens and base in the United Kingdom and was one of many durable mini lightbars on the Australian market. The Euromax didn't feature a speed rating whereas the Haztec Mini XP has a speed-rating of 250kph (155mph). The Euromax was a standalone mini lightbar in the Australian market.
Main rivals include: Britax 420 Series, ECCO Blaze and Hella 1811 Mini Lightbar (a rebadged ECCO Blaze).
Fully replaceable components including LED modules.
Good choice of mounting options and warning colours.
Excellent build quality.
On/Off switch cigarette lighter plug on magnetic model.
250kph speed-rating on magnetic model.
Aerodynamic design.
No green and white colour options.
Score: 9.8/10
If you're in the market for a reliable, cost-effective, well-made halogen rotating mini lightbar, the Narva Euromax is truly worth a look. Despite having been discontinued, there is still stock available.
