The Britax 420 Series, a halogen rotating mini lightbar that has become well-known in the warning light industry in Australia since its introduction in the late 1990s. The Britax 420 Series is popular across all industries particularly on tipper trucks and prime movers. The Britax 420 Series is sold in one model only and offered in four different colour options (Amber, Blue, Red and Clear) and three mounting options (Single Bolt, Multiple Bolt and Vacuum Magnetic). All mounting and colour options can be ordered in 12 or 24 volt specification. Being a halogen rotating light, the 420's only flash pattern is (dual) rotating. An angled mirror comes standard in the centre of the lightbar to increase output and create a wig-wag effect on certain viewing angles. The Britax 420 Series is powered by two one-speed fully-automatic 12/24V multi voltage DC motors utilising belt drive technology to rotate two reflectors around two fixed halogen H1 bulbs producing 160 flashes per minute (FPM). The Britax 420 Series is built with a tough polycarbonate lens and base in China (since October 2012 - Formally United Kingdom) and is one of many durable mini lightbars on the Australian market. The magnetic 420 Series (424 Series) is speed-tested to 112kph (70mph), suitable for highway use. The 420 Series shares its underpinnings with the Britax 390 Series Halogen Rotating Beacon, BF620 and BF920 Series LED Strobe/Rotating Mini Lightbars.
Main rivals include: (now discontinued) Narva Euromax, ECCO Blaze and Hella 1811 Mini Lightbar (a rebadged ECCO Blaze).
