After graduating from Muskogee High School, I moved to New York City where I studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduating with an arts degree from the AADA, I earned a Bachelor of Science from NOVA Southeastern University in Miami, FL. I’ve worked in television and theatre for over two decades and as recently as the summer of 2011. However, early on in my career as an actor I learned that I would also need a day job. I spent two decades in my 20s and 30s working in sales and management with a national business services company. Eventually, I put my experience to use developing two successful businesses. As my children moved into adulthood I decided to reinvent my life in a way that would support the hopes for the other half of my life. While working as a business owner and actor, I spent my family time focused on youth activities in my church and community. I started by working as a volunteer youth minister and eventually moved into coaching. Building on my love for coaching and youth programs, teaching became a natural fit for a “new life” career. I taught English in Florida for fyears before returning to Oklahoma to teach at Edison Preparatory High School. I’ve coached middle and high school sports for nearly 20 years.
For Edison Prep I teach two classes of English I Pre AP and three classes of AP Seminar.
