LCHS competes in several different leagues - UIL, TFA, NSDA, TOC - but one thing they share together are the competitive event offerings. In our Speech Event Guide, you'll learn about all of the different public speaking and performance events that are availble to all members of the team. Langham Creek has a proud tradition of success in our speech program and we hope to continue that this year and beyond

In our Debate Event Guide, you can explore the different debate events that LCHS competes in.

Students can cross-enter events at tournaments, so that they may compete in both speech AND debate events. Being a well rounded member of the team means that if you are competing in a debate event, you must also compete in a speech event. Most debate students participate in extemporaneous speaking as to help them in not only their debates, but in every day life.
