Math Team Excels at Regional and State Competitions

The Math Team recently showcased their exceptional math skills by competing against students from across the region. All 14 students on the team put their knowledge to the test in just two contests and remarkably qualified for the state contest.

During the regional competition held on Saturday, February 24 at ICC, the results were outstanding. The team secured numerous victories, including:

• Calculator team - First Place

• Junior-Senior 8 Person Team - First Place

• Junior-Senior 2-Person Team - First Place

• Freshman-Sophomore 2-Person Team - Second Place

• Individual achievements in Algebra I and Geometry

The state qualifiers comprised a talented group of students, competing at Illinois State University on Saturday, April 6. Despite strong competition, the team demonstrated their skills with impressive performances:

• J/S 8-person team - 11th place

• Calculator team - 21st place

• J/S 2-person team - 19th place
