PROGRESSION OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS -

We are currently working with the following progression matrix by Gareth Webb, School Support Consultant courtesy of TES.

In designing our curriculum we work with the document to check our curriculum has coverage of all the key skills required for each year group. It also provides a tool for differentiation and allows teachers to explore how to advance or simplify an art task for individuals within the class.

We have also used this as an auditing tool during our Art RPM meetings. All class teachers have access to this document and keep it in mind when adjusting the curriculum. It is used as a reference point for planning themed weeks as well as medium term planning.
