We took part in a live lesson looking at forces and air resistance.
Visitors from Discover Materials
Visitors from Discover Materials
This afternoon we had visitors from Birmingham and Leeds Universities to deliver sessions about materials and how their structure depends on what they are used for. We investigated chocolate bars and how much force was required to break them. Children also looked at the structure of a range of interesting materials such as: cuttlefish bones, rocks, fabrics and beetle shells using microscopes.

What a fabulous end to the term and our learning about WW2. During this day the children took part a Blackout Experience, Cooking using rationed items and digging for victory.
All of the children really immersed themselves in the day.

The fire service came to speak to the children about the different roles they have within the community as well as how to avoid possible fire hazards within the home and what to do in the case of a fire.
