This afternoon we had visitors from Birmingham and Leeds Universities to deliver sessions about animals and how they have adapted to their environments. We looked using microscopes at butterfly wings, cuttlefish bones, duck feathers and the sticky pads on a gecko's feet.
RE Visit
What a fabulous day the Year 6 children had gaining further insights into Christianity, Hinduism and Islam by visiting a Church, Mandir Temple and Mosque.
What a fabulous end to the term and our learning about WW2. During this day the children took part a Blackout Experience, Cooking using rationed items, fitness test for the army and digging for victory.
All of the children really immersed themselves in the day.
Using their knowledge from Science lessons children planned drafted and then published their writing.
