RE: Why should we care for others?
In Science this week we have started our 'Animals including Humans' topic. Our first lesson involved naming and describing parts of the human body. We worked in small groups to draw around one of our friends and then we had 5 minutes to label as many body parts as we could!
We loved retelling the story of 'The Enormous Turnip' as part of our Literacy lessons. After spending time retelling the story we had a go at writing it. The week after we innovated the story where we changed the vegetable and the characters who came to help. Our stories were fantastic!
Bikeability!
Maintain your cycle: make sure your ride is in tip-top condition and make simple repairs
Glide: smooth, calm and collected
Control your bike: including setting off, cruising, slowing down, braking and stopping. You’ll even learn to pedal one handed!
Pedal: without feeling wobbly or out of control
Be aware of your surroundings: looking behind and turning around obstacles
In Science we have been learning about the five senses we have - sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. We used our senses to investigate 'secret' food, guessing what it was based on how it tasted and smelt. We spent time outdoors listening for sounds near and far and enjoyed feeling different 'hidden' textures too.
