Current reading objectives:  We are reading Cinder Al and the Stinky Footwear and talking about prepositions. 

Current writing objectives:  We are starting our Fairytale Unit. 

Current social studies objectives:  We are talking about the 5 C's of Arizona. 

The Focus for Reading 

Our 3rd grade reading program is called Into Reading. It is an online program that we have adapted to use in the classroom as online and more hands on. It focuses on many parts of reading/writing. Fluency, comprehension, reading skills, grammar are all included. Although online, most every assignment will be in paper form. 

AR ( Accelerated Reader)

Quizzes may not be taken at home. Only during school hours. Students will need to make their AR goal by the end of the current quarter to attend incentive field trips. Reading at home nightly is beneficial for many reasons including AR. Students who read at home can come in prepared to take quizzes weekly.
