According to the Curriculum Associates website, "i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment designed to provide teachers with actionable insight into student needs. The Diagnostic offers a complete picture of student performance and growth, eliminating the need for multiple, redundant tests.
Diagnostic results also set a personalized learning path for each student, ensuring they’re working on instruction that matches their unique learning needs."
In short - you don't. The only goal on the i-Ready Diagnostic is to work out each problem and answer to the best of your ability. The test will do the rest! It will adjust levels to meet the needs of each student so we are better able to pinpoint exactly what their specific needs are.
From there, i-Ready will tailor an educational pathway specific to each student and students will work independently through their own pathway over the course of the year. After the initial diagnostic in August, two more diagnostic tests will be taken (December and April/May), which will help to show overall growth in both ELA and Math.
