Find the AV control panel at the podium; usually a touchscreen or button panel mounted on the desk.
Press SYSTEM ON: Touch or press the "System On" or "Power On" button. The projector will turn on, which usually takes 30-60 seconds to fully warm up and display an image.
Select Your Source:
PC (Dedicated Instructor Computer)
Login with your Pratt OneKey username and password.
Laptop (Wired HDMI Cable w/ adapter)
Document Camera
Make sure the power cable and display cables are fully connected.
Press the power button to turn on.
Adjust viewing angle, focus, and lighting to your liking.
Blu Ray / DVD player (located within desk or podium rackmount)
Use the front panel navigation buttons or remote controller.
To turn OFF: Press the "System Off" or "Power Off" button when class is over. Confirm choice if prompted.
Allow the projector to cool down completely before unplugging or leaving the room.
MAC DESKTOP OR LAPTOP
Connect the display cable
Ensure the HDMI or DisplayPort cable is securely connected from the Mac to the podium connection point.
Quick keyboard shortcut (Recommended)
Press Command (⌘) + F1 simultaneously to toggle between mirrored and extended display modes.
If you don't see the login window on the projector, the displays are in extended mode. Press Command (⌘) + F1 to switch to mirrored mode so the same image appears on both screens.
Open System Settings
Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner, then select "System Settings" or "System Preferences".
Navigate to Displays
Click on "Displays" in the sidebar to access display settings.
Enable mirroring
Check the box labeled "Mirror Displays" or select the projector and choose "Mirror Built-in Display".
Note: If mirroring is already enabled, you should see your desktop on the projector immediately.
WINDOWS PC OR LAPTOP
The Windows + P keyboard shortcut allows you to change the screen settings between multiple monitors, displays, or projectors.
A pop up window will appear for display settings where you can choose your preference.
Duplicate or Extend Your Display. Windows uses the term 'duplicate' screen instead of mirror (like Apple).
You can manually navigate to this window by clicking Display Settings > choose Multiple Displays > Duplicate or Extend.
Adjust the volume dial or slider on the control panel to your liking for the microphone (lecture halls only) and computer's program audio feed to the house system.
Whether using the PC or a laptop, choose Extron HDMI as the audio output in Sound Settings
Locate volume controls
Find the volume slider on the touch panel, usually labeled "Volume +", "Volume -".
Adjust volume
Drag the slider up to increase volume or down to decrease volume.
Mute/Unmute audio
Press the "Mute" speaker icon to silence all audio. Press again to unmute.
Check computer volume
If playback audio is too quiet, check the output level in Sound Settings on the PC or laptop.
PowerPoint Presenter View allows you to see speaker notes, upcoming slides, and a timer on your screen while the audience only sees the presentation.
Check 'Use Presenter View' under the "Slide Show" tab before starting your presentation.
Setting Up Presenter View (Windows 11)
Connect Displays: Connect the PC or your laptop to the AV system.
Configure Windows Display: Press Windows Key + P and select Extend. This treats the second screen as a separate display, essential for presenter mode.
Enable Presenter View in PowerPoint:
Open your presentation.
Go to the Slide Show tab.
Check the Use Presenter View box.
Select Monitor: In the "Monitors" group, select the monitor you want the audience to see from the dropdown menu.
Start Presentation: Click From Beginning (or press F5) or From Current Slide (Shift + F5).
Setting Up Presenter View (Mac)
To set up PowerPoint Presenter View on a Mac, ensure your external display is not mirrored (uncheck "Mirror Displays" in System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement).
In PowerPoint, go to the Slide Show tab, select Presenter View, or press Option + Return to start. This displays notes on your Mac and slides on the projector.
COMPUTER SCREEN DOESN'T MATCH WHAT'S ON THE PROJECTOR?
The display settings are likely set to extended instead of mirrored or duplicated. Press the Command (⌘) + F1 keys simultaneously on the keyboard.
NO SOUND?
Audio Output in System Settings should be set to Extron / HDMI for all devices.

Ensure the computer is turned on. Locate the Mac Mini within the desk or podium rack. Press the power button.
Ensure the computer monitor's power and display cables are fully inserted.
Ensure the correct source is selected on the button controller or touch panel.
