The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators is the only professional organization specifically for individuals who write and illustrate for children and young adults. Our mission is to support the creation and availability of quality children’s books in every region of the world through programs like SCBWI Books For Readers. Our US and international regions bring resources to assist members in honing their crafts of writing and illustration. SCBWI welcomes student and regular members 18 years of age and older.
