TEACHING ASSIGNMENT ACCURACY DISCLAIMER
Teaching assignments may change from one school year to the next as they are dependent on budget decisions, enrollment numbers, and other factors. The assignments listed below are subject to change and, if necessary, will be updated in September.
As we continue our learning journey, it is good remind to ourselves of the destination. Our goal is to prepare each student for the career of his or her choice. For most students this means they will need to continue on to college after high school. When students graduate from college they will usually have either a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree.
The names don't exactly mean what you think when hear the words 'science' and 'art'. A BS degree is focused on a particular topic and indicates a great depth of knowledge. The BA degree indicates a focus of knowledge on a topic with other related areas included. The holder has a breadth of knowledge. The BA is often split into a distinction between the humanities and the arts.
The distinctions made below are typical, but not absolute. People do have a BS in a field that others have a BA degree, it depends on how the college designs its program where the degree is earned.
