Grade 2

Second grade classes at School 2 are self-contained. Self-contained means that students will stay in the same class with the same teacher for English Language Arts (ELA), math, science, social studies, and health. Students will go to a specialist for art, music, physical education (PE), and technology.

The schedule follows a six-day cycle using letters A-F. Students will receive math and ELA instruction every day. The other courses will be offered on specific letter days. Pay close attention to the days that students have PE because they will need to wear their PE uniform to receive full credit.

Second Grade uses a standards-based report card. This is different from the traditional report card with letter grades.
