I was born in Seattle and raised in Pasco Washington. My mom was a first grade teacher and I have an older brother and a younger sister. My husband, John manages Salmon hatcheries and our son Sylas is a 7th grader this year. He runs cross country and plays clarinet. We have a dog, Yoki who loves everyone.
We all spend lots of time in the woods backpacking and camping and I love riding my bike around town.
I have a Bachelor of Recreation Administration from Washington State University, Pullman WA and a Masters of School Counseling from Seattle Pacific University, Seattle WA.
I believe we all have strengths and unused resources that haven’t yet been discovered. It is my passion to find these exceptions to our challenges and share them. I train and coach Collaborative Problem Solving and Mindfulness as restorative and trauma informed practices.

As School Counselors, we are here to support and listen to you all.
Throughout our work, we honor each student and families Confidentiality. This means we hear each person out and keep each conversation private.
There are some limits to Confidentiality which would require us to not keep a conversation private. Those are, if during our conversation information is shared about a student being hurt by another, a student wanting to hurt themselves, a student wanting to hurt another person, or we are given permission to share the conversation with another adult. If we need to break Confidentiality, it will start with a conversation with you and you will be aware of who we share with.
