Every single level of singer at Franklin High School will receive FREE group voice lessons during rehearsal every class, learn how to read music, get to know your fellow musicians, perform at Franklin and beyond, and participate in field trip/travel experiences.

NO AUDITION OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Members of this choir will develop their vocal skills and discover their vocal potential by singing several different styles of music across many cultures and identities. They will learn the basics of group performance, musicianship, and music reading. They will sing in quarterly concerts and go on occasional field trips.

NO AUDITION OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Members of Pop Voices will participate in group voice lessons to expand their vocal ability in a wide genre of music! During this class, students will learn healthy vocal technique in pop, musical theater, classical, and other styles of singing. Students will sing solo and in groups and will have opportunities to select their own music for the class. Singers will also get 1 on 1 vocal instruction with Teacher Simmons. Join this class to up your karaoke game or to have fun through music!

Armonia, Concert Choir:
Armonia is the biggest choir at Franklin, with a current 45 singers. These students will learn advanced choral/vocal techniques, sight-reading, and music theory through study and performance of a variety of choral music across many cultures and composer-identities. Armonia participates in the OSAA choir festivals, performs in quarterly concerts, goes on a yearly retreat, and participates in other field trip/travel opportunities. Audition required

FreshAire, Contemporary A Cappella Choir:
FreshAire, Contemporary A Cappella Choir:
FreshAire is a small chamber a cappella group of 16 (4 per part). This group will primarily perform pop a cappella music, but will also dive into choral chamber music. This group performs in quarterly concerts, performs at school assemblies, participates in outside of school gigs, participates in the Small Ensemble festival, and participates in other field trip/travel opportunities. All members of FreshAire must also be enrolled in Armonia. Audition required
