WHAT you NEED to know about BENSON HS
a)Applying to Benson for the 2023-24 School Year: We will be accepting applications for Benson from Tuesday, November 15 to Friday, December 16th. Students only have to complete one on-line application. The online application will be on the Enrollment website: https://www.pps.net/schoolchoice. Students are usually informed of acceptance by the end of January/beginning of February. We will have an in person and online forecasting nights about mid February for students who have been accepted.
b) 8th Grade Information Night: Benson's 8th grade night is Wednesday, Nov.2 at 6:00 pm. We STRONGLY encourage families to attend this night. We will NOT be having shadow days this year so this is the ONLY time that students will be able to see the building, meet the teachers, etc. during the application period.
c) Benson Rebuild: In case anyone asks (and it is in the presentation), we will be back to our location by Lloyd Center in Fall 2024. Only one year at the Marshall site for this current 8th grade class!
e)Tech Show: Benson Tech Show is back! It is April 20th/21st at the Marshall Campus. We LOVE to have 7th graders come with their families to learn more about Benson.

EXCITING NEW OPPORTUNITY at Wells HS!
My name is Sarah LeMier. I am the Instructional Specials and Pathways Project Manager for Wells High School. I thought I would share some information with you about an exciting new opportunity for rising 9th graders. Next year, WHS will be launching our
Integrated Pathways Program.
Wells Pathways provide students with the unique opportunity to learn through integrated, interdisciplinary lessons, and apply that knowledge using project-based learning skills. Students select a pathway that interests them (Arts & Communication, Computer Science, Construction & Engineering, or Health Science), then follow a carefully designed curricular trajectory, specific to their Major. Students in the Wells Pathways Program master the use of 21st-century technology, innovate creative solutions for modern problems, develop real-world job skills, and become the leaders of tomorrow.
To learn more about our programs and classes, check out our WEBSITE. I have also attached an interactive brochure you can pass on to families and students.
Please let me know if you have any questions about our new Pathways Program.
