PPS School Counseling Mission Statement:

The mission of the Portland Public Schools Comprehensive School Counseling Program is for each and every student, PK – 12, to meet or exceed standards in the areas of academic, career, personal/social, and community service. Professional school counselors, in partnership with teachers, students, parents, community members and administrators, will ensure that each and every student becomes a life-long learner and a respectful citizen of a diverse, multicultural, international community.

RGMS Counselor Beliefs:

We recognize the middle school years are tricky and at times exhausting.  We consider it an honor and privilege to work alongside parents in the support of their children.  We recognize they entrust their children to us, so that together we can build them up, equipping them for high school and beyond.

For all students to feel supported, thrive and be happy in all aspect of their life, and most importantly, learn to advocate for themselves.
