Overview
2023-24 pre-service and monthly staff meeting Climate and Culture Professional Learning will be facilitated by representatives from each school's Climate Team based on centrally-developed integrated themes and resources.
Themes integrate standards from:
Transformative Social Emotional Learning (TSEL)
Restorative Justice (RJ)
PBIS Schoolwide Classroom Routines & Procedures
Racial Equity and Social Justice (RESJ)
Train-the-Trainer Sessions
What: Full-day sessions to review resources and plan facilitation.
Who: Climate Team reps (3-4) from each site. Two subbed positions funded by MTSS.
When:
Session 1: August 17,
Session 2: (Choose one) January 3, 4, 18 or February 8
Session 3: (Choose one) March 14, April 4, 9 or 11
TO DO:
Building leaders select the dates they will be bringing their team to the Winter and Spring train-the-trainer sessions. Each session will accommodate 22 schools and dates are first come, first serve.

Climate Teams use CR-TFI, SS Survey, FIT to update school climate plan
6 hour pre-service focused on Climate & Culture
Teachers will implement an Effective Classroom Practices Plan
Monthly Climate & Culture Professional Learning to include Scope & Sequence (updated January 2024) provided by OSSS (during Staff Meetings- 90 minutes)
Climate Teams facilitate the monthly Climate & Culture Professional Learning

Building Leaders/Climate Leads can customize slide deck/content as needed for your school as long as the themes and learning outcomes are covered for each meeting
