2025-26 Professional Learning Implementation Tools
Overview
Pre-service and monthly Climate and Culture Professional Learning support the School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP) attendance goal. Climate Teams select the attendance indicators strand based on their SCIP goal and Climate Plan.
The five evidence-based strands are:
Sense of belonging
School Climate
School Safety
Teacher-student relationships
Engagement
Professional learning is facilitated by representatives from each school's Climate Team using the resources below.
Previous Admin Portal Updates:
What: Sessions for climate team representatives to learn about the role of the school climate team, implementation tools available and plan facilitation of upcoming Climate & Culture staff professional learning.
Who: Admin & Climate Team representatives
Subs: MTSS will cover 2 subbed position for each building. More Climate Team members may attend, without sub coverage.
When: Three times per year-two options per season. See below for options for each season and Pepper registration links
Review Year-at-a-Glance resource for school teams
Every School has a Climate Team that meets monthly
Climate Teams use data including CR-TFI, Successful School Survey, and FIT to update school climate plan
6 hour pre-service focused on Climate & Culture
Teachers will implement an Effective Classroom Practices Plan
Monthly Climate & Culture Professional Learning to include 2025-26 resources provided by MTSS- 60 minutes a month
Climate Teams facilitate the monthly Climate & Culture Professional Learning
Building Leaders/Climate Leads choose the Climate and Culture attendance indicator strand and customize slide deck/content as needed for your school. (i.e. adapt staff engagement activities, insert building-specific scenarios or data)
