About Me:
Hello JMS families! I am excited to be doing my counseling internship here at Jackson. I have grown up in Portland and have lived here the majority of my life. I moved to Washington for college before coming back to Portland to pursue my Masters. I spent last year teaching English at a primary school in the south of Spain.
When I am not at school, I am pursuing one of my other passions. I coach girls high school and club volleyball. This means I spend the majority of my weekends in a gym, which is the only way I’d have it!
In my free time, I enjoy trying new coffee places with friends, yoga, playing rec volleyball, hiking, and spending time with my family and new kitten!
My counseling approach is based on the belief that each student has innate worth and natural talents. My job as a school counselor is to help each student recognize and build upon the strengths they already have and to support them in the areas they may need.
