In order for guardians to receive summaries for your Google Classroom, you need to ensure that the toggle is turned on. Click the gear icon in the top right of your classroom and scroll down to the "general" section. This will need to be done for each classroom. Next, on the people tab, add any guardian emails that are not showing by clicking "invite guardians" next to each students name. The guardian will need to accept the invite. The default is 1 summary weekly. If a guardian has Gmail, they can adjust the settings for up to daily.

These are summaries you can send at any time to give an update to a student and/or parent.
Click a student's name from the "People" tab.
Look for the small envelope icon in the top right.
Click the dropdown arrow to choose who to send the report to.
Check the box if you would like to include a work summary & send.
