2014 Forest Hill Drive by J. Cole

Remake of my 2014 Forest Drive Hills By J. Cole.

Abrstract art

When I made mistakes on this project I tried to find ways around them, like when I miss traced I tried to erase and try again.

This was originally supposed to be a fantasy map but I failed trying to get there so now its just an abrstract art piece.

This art work is successful because it shows that not everything works out how you want it to. This wasn't going to look like this but it also turned not as bad as I thought.

I used value because of the shading. Where there are shadows are the dark parts and where the skin color is the light part. The technique I used to achieve by colouring where it needs to be shaded. My final is different then the original because I didn't originally plan to color the nails but in the final I did.

The different elements work together to show the meaning in more then just the word way. The flag in the backround also helps show the word. Along with the color of the flag and nails they work together to pop.

One challenge that I faces was drawing the hands they were coming out deformed so I kept redrawing them to try and make them better and I was getting frustrated so I took a break to try and calm down. What I am most proud of in this project is the final project because it came out really good and I'm proud of it.

My design is visually because of the colors and how they go together. They make the project pop. My message is conveyed to the viewer because of the Canadian flag in the backround.
