APPLICATIONS FOR 2025-26 OPEN March 10, 2025!
Apply (click above!) and Enroll at the same time. We look to include as many students as possible so enrolling and applying will help ensure we build classes the right size to fit everyone. In the event that we think AVID is not a good fit, we'll call and send a letter home to help you find the best fit for you at Westview.

**If you apply to AVID after you lock your sophomore courses in, you can still get into AVID! Once accepted into AVID, we will reach out to you to help you with your four-year plan and enroll appropriately in AVID. We will also communicate with your counselor about any course changes.

Selection Criteria
AVID offers rigorous academic support and strong connections to Westview and our community which is great for all students so we look to include as many students as possible.
Being part of AVID also takes hard work and perseverance so the most important criteria that we look for are determination and strong motivation to attend a 4-year college.
Other criteria we use to ensure AVID is a good fit for students include students who are 1st generation college-going, part of traditionally underserved populations, experiencing circumstances that make achievement difficult, and are academically viable.
