As a school counselor, my goal is to provide a comprehensive program that meets the academic, social-emotional, and college/career needs of all students. I work confidentially with students by implementing short-term, effective interventions and collaborating to find solutions and supports for any challenges they may be facing.

School counselors do not provide long-term counseling, therapy, or clinical interventions. I do, however, provide referrals to outside agencies for long-term therapy and collaborate as a team with health professionals and families to create plans to support students.

School counselors provide a multi-tiered system of support. These tiers are broken down into 3 sections:

Tier 1 ALL: Universal Supports (85%-100% of students)

Tier 2 SOME: Targeted Supports (10%-15% of students)

Tier 3 FEW: Intensive, Individualized Supports (5% of students)
