Topics are the stimulus for conversation. Within your Topic you can include anything you would like your students to review prior to recording a video response, such as videos and links.
Students never create accounts, but verify their email. To share the Grid, visit your My Grids page. Click the rocket Share icon to see your options for sharing.

To make sure students are setup to be successful, provide clear expectations around videos. Provide students with the above checklist and rubric.
Provide feedback to students using text, video, or graded rubrics. Flipgrid offers a basic rubric and custom rubrics for Educators to score videos.

Educators can set a different language, edit the closed captions for individual videos, or turn off closed captions.
Some discussions may require privacy or moderation. To default videos to be hidden and only visible to the educator, the Video Moderation setting can be activated.
Flipgrid uses a default setting of sending e-mail notifications to educators every time a student posts a video. You can change the frequency of these e-mails.
Canvas Access Control - Only students in your Canvas course can access your connected Grids.
Students can still join on mobile but must start within the Canvas app.
Speedgrader - Add a Flipgrid Topic for your next Canvas Assignment. Student videos automatically show up in Speedgrader.
Anywhere, Anytime - As long as students click the green + within Canvas, they can record on any computer or on the free Flipgrid iOS + Android apps.
***Please note, Flipgrid does not support a system-wide integration or admin-level setup. Instead, teachers must individually do this for each course they want to use Flipgrid with.
