Originally from San Diego, I ventured into the desert for college to obtain an English degree from the University of Arizona. Being a true beach bum, I couldn't stay away and returned to San Diego as soon as I could. I spent three years working in the radio industry doing promotions and sales for The Mighty 1090 (Go Padres!) and 105.7 MAX FM. However, I realized that my true passion is for teaching and ultimately went back to school to get my teaching credential at CSU San Marcos. I love reading, going to live shows, and volunteering with organizations like Relay For Life, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and It’s the Pits Dog Rescue!

When I was in Middle School, my English teacher was so awesome that she inspired me to go on and study English in college, which has led me to teaching you brilliant young people today! This class is going to be a lot of fun. I hope to foster creativity while teaching you about everything that makes literature so great!
