Bridging the gap between researchers and practitioners to catalyze new research and innovation on key questions for the region, is part of our main role at J-PAL LAC. To do so, we acknowledge two approaches:

J-PAL LAC staff often engages with implementing partners who express their interest in partnering with J-PAL researchers. As a service to research network members, our staff helps “match” these implementing organizations to researchers interested in exploring collaborations and estimating their impact. Read more here

Supply-driven approach
Leveraging our active initiatives and strategic partnerships, we conduct proactive searches to identify innovative and well-established interventions that provide answers to the systemic challenges around poverty; and with the potential to be rigorously evaluated and connect them to subject matter experts of our network to assess their impact.
