In the fall of 2019. . .
Rupert Principal, Matthew Moyer, began working with partners to develop and fund a mural for Rupert Elementary School. The vision was to create a mural that would celebrate the history of Rupert Elementary, its students, and its staff. Over the course of a year, he was able to secure funding, approve a design, and get school board approval for a mural that would meet these goals. By April 2021, the mural was complete and proudly mounted on the Cherry Street side of the school building for everyone to enjoy!

Matthew Moyer, Principal
Matthew Moyer has been the principal of Rupert Elementary School since 2005. He started his career as a 5th-grade teacher in the Spring-Ford Area School District. He then spent 3 years as an assistant principal at Schuylkill Valley Elementary School in Leesport, Pennsylvania. From there he moved to his current position as principal of Rupert Elementary School in the Pottstown School District. He has a Master's Degree in Education, Principal's Certificate, and his Letter of Eligibility for the Superintendency. Matt attended Rupert Elementary School and is a 1992 graduate of Pottstown High School.
