Welcome to Postville Community School District! We are excited to host the 2026 District Individual Events contest. Please be aware that we are utilizing both our High School building (John R. Mott) and our Elementary buidling (Cora B. Darling). It is a very short walk between the buildings.
There is a suggested $5 donation at the door.
A limited number of print programs will be available for purchase for $2 each.
Parking
Contest Reminders
Make sure to arrive EARLY for performances. It may take extra time to park and find the contest center. Performances may run ahead of schedule.
To ensure impartiality, school names are not used on the contest schedule. Instead, each team is given a "school code". Please communicate with your school's coach to get your school code. Contest volunteers will not have access to school code lists.
Do not wear clothing with identifiable school logos into the performance centers.
Photography and video recording during performances is prohibited.
At district contest, judges will give oral comments after each performance. Please remain quiet during this time.
Ratings will be posted in the gym and on various screens in the buildings. Ratings will also be available online after each section of performers in a center is completed. Please be patient, as sometimes there are delays in posting ratings.
If you have questions or concerns about a rating, you MUST talk to your school's coach. If necessary, the coach can then speak to the contest manager, a district officer or the state office. Spectators should never approach judges with questions or concerns about a rating. Your school's coach has a procedure for this.
Weather Delays
In the event of bad weather on contest day, we will try to give you as much advance notice of changes as possible. Please know that the contest manager, school admin and the state office will be on top of the situation and will release any pertinent information to ALL schools, judges and volunteers once we reach a decision.
