Weather Delays
In the event of bad weather on contest day, we will try to give you as much advance notice of changes as possible. Please know that the contest manager, school admin and the state office will be on top of the situation and will release any pertinent information to ALL schools, judges and volunteers once we reach a decision. With that in mind, please refrain from contacting the contest manager before we have made an official announcement.
PLAN A is to hold contest on time, but to allow schools additional time to travel. Schools should only travel when they feel it is safe to do so and may arrive late. In that event, we will all need to be flexible and students may perform out of order.
PLAN B is to delay the contest by two hours. Schools should only travel when they feel it is safe to do so and may arrive late. In that event, we will all need to be flexible and students may perform out of order.
PLAN C is to postpone the contest entirely. Our scheduled make-up date is Wednesday, March 4th at 2pm.
Should bad weather be an issue for the afternoon of contest day, we may need to forgo judge's oral comments and we will try to run performances ahead of schedule. Students may perform out of order.
