TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. TENS machines have electrode pads that you place on your skin. The machine then produces mild, safe electrical impulses through to the body's nerve fibres via these pads which gives you a buzzing or tingling sensation. The purpose of TENS impulses is to help the body produce endorphins and other naturally occurring pain numbing substances.

TENS machines can be used during labour in an effort to counteract the intensity of your surges (contractions). The intensity of electrical impulses can be increased or decreased depending on the intensity of your surges. The machine also has a boost button that produces wave-like sensations which can be very helpful to use during surges as well.

4 week hire period - $65
8 week hire period - $90

The deposit fee is $150. Your deposit will be reimbursed to you minus your hire fee once the TENS machine has been returned. Your hire will not be confirmed until your deposit is paid.
