An application for the attribution of Portuguese nationality for children under 1 year old, and the application for the 1st Citizen Card for a baby can now be requested online, and are completely free of charge. Read more about this process here.

The renewal of a Citizen Card which is still valid or expired for less than 30 days can be carried out online here.
If the document has expired for longer than 30 days, the renewal of your Citizen Card must be carried out at the Consulate General in San Francisco, or during one of the Consular visits that take place in Utah annually.
