The atmosphere among an eSports environment should be both positive and safe. Grizzlies should feel welcome, and receive positive encouragement to participate, compete, and improve their skills. Since this is a team, each Grizzly contributes to the different components of each game. To maintain a positive environment, Grizzlies are expected to behave in a positive manner at all times and include the following stipulations:
Offensive language and expression: Grizzlies are expected to use appropriate language towards other teammates, students, and staff members. Grizzlies will not insult another person's race, color, gender and gender identity, sexuality, religion, national origin, socioeconomic status, or citizenship.
Safe place and team dynamics: Grizzlies will maintain a positive safe place and team dynamics by allowing participants to feel welcome, using appropriate language, supporting teammates, and communicating positively with respect.
Harassment: Grizzlies will NOT harass or bully other players, teammates, or other associated parties.
Sexual Harassment: Grizzlies will NOT sexually harass other players, teammates, or other associated parties. This type of behavior will NOT be tolerated and is subject to discipline under the CA Education code.
Any violation of these policies will result in non competition or removal from the team.
