- http://www.scholastic.com/parents/ - On Scholastic's for Parents website you will find articles and information about fun ways to engage with your student while practicing important skills
- http://www.readwritethink.org/parent-afterschool-resources/ - This online site is dedicated to helping parents find materials for their students with regards to reading and writing
- http://www.pbs.org/parents/ - This website offers a wide variety of tips and resources for many educational as well as family related topics

- http://www.tumblebooklibrary.com - This website has dozens of books that kids can read online. They can read it by themselves or with the help of a narrated voice. Our district username is: portagedl and the password is: pps.

- http://www.ixl.com/ - The students at Woodland use this website at school and will need to use their login information to access this site outside of school. Most teachers encourage their students to visit IXL regularly outside of the school day!

- http://wonderopolis.org/- This is an amazing site that has answers to all of you and your child's wonderings! This site is a piece of the National Center for Families Learning website. The initial layout of the site is so kid friendly!
