Community Partnerships

Identified Area of Growth -

This wedge represents an area of growth for the library program currently. Cooperative measures with the Public Library and different educational facilities and companies have given us a foundation for community partnerships, but more can be done to invite the community into the space and programming. Our recent increase in social media postings have served as a better outreach tool to keep the community informed of our programming and we seek to continue this trend with other initiatives.

Plan to Address Area of Growth -

To address this area of growth in 2022 we plan to make better use of each building newsletter to reach out with tips, tools, and ideas for reading and digital citizenship. These outreach efforts can not only inform the community of key resources and ideas but also build an essential relationship to support our students. We would also like to develop a guest readers program through the library to invite community members into the library to read with our students.

Potential Future Directions for Library Program -

Our community library is currently undergoing many staffing changes. We look forward to meeting and working with the new librarians to continue developing and leveraging our positive relationship.

Our community is in the works of establishing a Boys and Girls Club of America program. Library staff would love to partner with BGCA in the future.
